The standard key-and-lock security systems are no longer fulfill today’s demanding security requirements. The key is the weak link in this type of system. The key can be lost, stolen, or duplicated which can give anyone access to your facility. The process of changing locks an re-issuing keys is costly and time consuming. The solution to this problem is an electronic "key" that can be programmed to operate specific doors based on location and time. If the electronic "key" is lost or stolen, the "key" can be easily programmed not to operate any doors in the facility. The locks do not have to be changed and the other "key" holders in the system are not affected. Any door or room that can be secured with a traditional lock and key can also be secured by an access controlled reader. With an access control system, only authorized personnel have access to a restricted area based on the time of day and day of the week. The individual’s access into the area is automatically recorded by the Host computer. This allows for reports to be generated based on the individual, a group of individuals, the specific location, or the entire facility. The basic access control sub-system consist of individual coded access cards, card readers, door strikes, contact switches, and an access controller. Key Benefits
